The competition service aims to reduce friction and increase speed and therefore concentrates on two main areas of the bicycle; the wheels and gears.
Included in the service are:
- Tyres checked to ensure they are in good condition, appropriate for the weather and inflated to manufacturer's specs;
- Service to front and rear wheel hubs to minimise friction and increase speed;
- Pedal checks to ensure that they spin freely with minimum friction and replace if necessary;
- Checks that bottom bracket is in good working order with minimum friction and replace if necessary;
- Chain fully lubricated and in good condition or replace if necessary;
- Jockey wheels are in good condition, taken out, cleaned, greased and spin with minimum friction or replace if necessary.
Suspension and hydraulic brakes service are not included in the service packages and will be charged separately. See repairs and parts fitting page for additional costs.
