Charity support:

Hammersmith Community Gardens Association is a local environmental charity set up in 1984. Managed by a group of trustees, who are all local residents, the association currently employs a manager, garden manager and two school gardeners with a pool of sessional staff all of whom work to deliver environmental projects in Hammersmith.

The types of sessions we run include:

Garden maintenance with volunteers
Food growing and composting
Wildlife gardening and medicinal herbs
Family playschemes
Gardening clubs in early years centres, primary and secondary schools
Corporate volunteer days

Community gardens are small areas of public open space that are managed and cared for by local residents. Hammersmith Community Gardens Association manages two community gardens sites at Loris Road W6 and Godolphin Garden W12 and the glass houses in Ravenscourt Park.
