TRP, or Tektro Race Products, are new high-technology braking systems for elite athletes. The TRP designers have utilised all the knowledge and experience Tektro has gained during years of brake system design and manufacture to produce lightweight responsive braking systems made from the best available materials, including; carbon fibre, aluminium alloys and titanium.

Within TRP there is a special focus on design, so that durability and functionality are maintained at the highest levels whilst allowing TRP braking systems to be as light as possible.

One of TRPs aims is to provide the lightest and most effective braking systems to meet the needs of racers in niche markets such as time-trial, triathlon, cyclo-cross and BMX.

Highlights in the 2007 range include;

The cyclo-cross CR950 carbon calliper and RL950 carbon lever both utilise titanium hardware and Kool-Stop cartridge pads. The total weight for the system is a mere 206g for lever and calliper
The R950 carbon (140g per calliper) and the R920 alloy (128g per calliper) road brakes which come specced with Teflon bushings, titanium hardware and Kool-Stop cartridge pads, and both are significantly lighter than a Shimano Dura Ace calliper (157g per calliper).
The 128g full carbon, ML950 MTB V-brake lever, that twins with the 154g M920 forged V-brake calliper to make a killer XC racing brake set-up.
